I grew up in my father's construction business developing domestic & agricultural buildings, and fabrication of portal frames, gates and many other building implements.
Graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Architectural Technology and Management and a diploma in Industrial Studies.
My last job was at Webtech NI as a Warehouse Operative. Where I carried out both Administrative and Operative roles, processing daily orders and organising shipments of goods, maintaining the daily operations of the warehouse and packaging & dispatching of goods. I aided in the stock taking of the raw materials and carried out cycle counts of finished goods on a weekly basis.
During the past five years I have been tutoring students and small firms in the use of Autodesk Revit. Tutoring first time users and people who wanted refreshing with the latest versions of the software, and getting the business started into BIM projects.
I have been consistently working on my own design projects. Ranging from Domestic Extensions, Full New Build, Listed Buildings, Agricultural and Industrial Buildings. All my projects are done on Revit as it is a platform that I am truly comfortable working on as it gives me more than just a look at a project, it lets you feel and see what you do and how the project will correlate with the real world.
At present I am working for BWB Consultancy where I play a continuous role in building BIM Models across a range of government and private sector projects. Mostly the structural design and occasionally architectural, site work and services.
Within the company I am working with a group on standardising & utilising our BIM standards and protocols, assessing the efficiency of other interfacing platforms and developing solutions to problems.
