The architect was hired to annex more film halls from this single theater cinema to create a cohesive theater of three film halls in total. Because this theater was one of the oldest movie theater in all of Germany, the design intent was to create a coherent design to the original physical design as well as palettes.
The architect's homage to the original sensibilities are evident throughout such as two big brass chandeliers at entry that evoke old photo lights, to carpeting that plays optical illusion to appear 3D in pattern, and the intentional use of oak veneer to connect the original finishes and the new. In the theater itself, all the seats were newly reupholstered but matched the original carpet.
