These 4 white walls a.k.a. "wall of promises" can be found near the beginning of the journey. In between is the open ritual space that invites pilgrims to stop in and give thanks. Also, inside this space, individuals are encouraged to leave behind a symbolic object, image or a piece of writing to express gratitude before continuing on their pilgrimage.
These walls made of stacked concrete blocks also serve another function. They casts long shadows that shift throughout the day, offering visitors shade during hot sunny days.
