The Christ Hospital Joint and Spine Center - floor plan

This orthopedic care focused center provides hospitable and flexible semi-public spaces for both caregivers and families. To break away from the conventional centralized nursing desks, they are sporadically placed near patient rooms to service them better, making them feel more at ease, knowing they are closer than they usually are at other facilities.

The architect was sensitive to the vernacular language by using red brick and limestone with a grand atrium to let in daylight as much as possible.
