The ripple motif can be seen all throughout the space such as the weaving of thin bamboo strips or oars placed in rhythmic sequence. The curvature of furnishings very common to Chinese design, as culturally they tend to stay away from sharp rectilinear corners, weave in and out within spaces fluidly.
