The Charitas Waterway Station in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, is a Niemeyer masterpiece that contributes to the beauty of the Guanabara Bay. The construction is part of the infamous Caminho Niemeyer and was inaugurated on November 23, 2004 when Niemeyer was 96 years old. The building itself is 2,000 sf and its see-through glass structure allows for perfect panoramic view of the bay from the boarding area. Located at the second level is the world-class Olimpo restaurant which gives a dynamic night time view over Rio de Janeiro.
