Located along the Delaware River Waterfront, Race Street Pier was the first of its kind in the Central Delaware River Waterfront masterplan for the city. The design of Race Street Pier is split into two levels. The upper level (Grand Sky Promenade) is 12 feet higher than the lower level, paved with a synthetic wooden deck. It is connected to the lower deck via a seating terrace that wraps around, catering more to passive recreation. It features a multi-purpose lawn, planting, and generous seating.
