This 5-bedroom ski cabin took the alpine chalet building type and lifted it onto a concrete plinth to protect it from the snow essentially.
Due to prevailing wind-drift direction and other climatic factors, the building is oriented so that it is shielded from the street and to gain direct views to a private stream and forest beyond. Tar treated wood siding is recessed from the tree trunks of this wooden site and at dusk, the interior finished with minimally treated fir glows warm through the windows.
