Offering Creatives Global Exposure: Enter the Lexus Design Award
Since its inception in 2013, the Lexus Design Award has provided the opportunity for visionaries and rising changemakers of all creative functions to build a better future. The contest, which receives thousands of applications annually, is currently open for entry until October 08, 2017.

Entries for the 2018 award will grant 12 finalists the opportunity to showcase their unique designs at Milan Design Week in April 2018. From those 12 finalists, four will receive $30,000 of funding to create prototypes of their work and mentorship from leading creative minds––including designers Lindsey Adelman, Formafantasma, Jessica Walsh, and architect Sou Fujimoto––leading up to their presentation at Milan Design Week. Additionally, one Grand Prix winner will be selected from the four prototype winners at Milan Design Week to receive production support from Lexus as well as additional mentorship from the judges.

This year’s creative theme for the Lexus Design Award 2018 is “CO-”, a Latin prefix meaning “with” or “together in harmony”. Lexus believes that great design can ensure the harmonious coexistence of nature and society. In that sense, “CO-” is an approach that allows the brand to explore its true potential and that of the environment by creating new possibilities through collaboration, coordination, and connection.

Lexus welcomes submissions from the fields of architecture, product design, and fashion. Finalists for the award will be recognized for design that goes beyond the mastery of shape, form, and function, and becomes a process and solution to overcome challenges.

Participation is open to students, professionals, and designers from all over the world. Participants must be 18 or older. Entries to the Lexus Design Award 2018 competition will be accepted through October 08 and announced in early 2018. For more information on the application process, please visit LexusDesignAward.com
