The "Nest lounge" was created as an answer to a question. "In an ever changing office environment how are people working in the office space of today?" People have become much more adept at working quickly, technology now allows us to learn in a day what it used to take people weeks or months to absorb. In this new fast paced work environment the need for efficiency and collaboration is higher than ever. The time of preplanned meetings and long scheduled conferences is on it's way out. This is where the "Next chair" comes in, creating both a personal comfortable work environment, and the means of a collaborative work space. For a short while now the modern office has been incorporating inner office lounges for relaxation. What the "Next chair" proposes is to turn these inner office lounges into collaborative work environments, giving people the space they need to hold spontaneous work sessions. To pull a couple chairs together and have a quick eye to eye. Executive offices establish hierarchy, often stifling creative thought. The "Next chair" levels the playing field, creating a feeling of safety by gently cradling the human figure and giving every man equal position. With the "Next Chairs" multiple base configurations one can create a layout that will allow people to work literally anywhere.
