John Donald Imus, aka JD, is a Spatial Experience Designer currently majoring in Environmental Design at Art Center College of Design. Born in Southern California John got his first taste for design while taking introductory classes through Art Center at night. At the time John was studying business and metallurgy at Orange Coast College. With an extensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques and a family background in industrial tooling John quickly adapted to the Art Center lifestyle.
While at Art Center John has studied a number of design sciences but specializes in furniture and exhibition design. He has won several awards, including first place at the 2013 LAIAC Competition, Studied under Joachim Sauter at UDK Berlin, and worked for professional clients such as Bernhardt, Nestle, Jenny Craig, Boeing, Teague, and Cloud nine architecture.
