BIM feedback loop

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is about speeding collaboration and effective feedback. One of the stake holders who have been mssing out on valuable feedback from projects are the manufacturers as they are often one or two steps removed from the process.

Today we hope to change that by giving specifiers an easy way to leave manufacturers feedback around their products and the BIM design files they are distributing.

The commenting system is built in to every BIM content page. When you submit a comment an alert is sent to the manufacturer to ensure a fast response. Also by leaving all questions public it will help answer other user's questions, to reduce the load on manufacturers and double ups.

We see this is another step in the right direction to help manufacturers better connect with BIM users and specifiers.
