The winners have just been announced for the 2012 Tekla Global BIM Awards!
Derby Business Park in Finland was the winner in the BIM category based on their efficient and innovative structural and MEP design. The complete model was made by Engineering Office Makelainen. With a tight schedule the project was helped by Tekla BIM software. Great to hear that BIM helped speed up the process, it is definitely one of BIM perks! The featured image (to your left) of the blog post is the Derby Business Park.
Emirates Air Line London Cable Car, modelled by Watson Steel Structures Ltd., was the winner of the steel category.
Park&Ride De Uithof in the Netherlands by Hurks Delphi Engineering was the winner in the Concrete category.
Icebergs - Louis Vuitton Foundation by Pouma and Iemants N.V. achieved special recognition from the jury. Great to hear that BIM was utilized throughout this project.
The Capital Market Authority office tower in Saudi Arabia, modeled by Eversendai, was the winner of the public vote. As you recall we posted a recent blog post to get your votes in, so thanks to all those who voted!
